March 16 Playdate at Donnelly Park

For those of you who haven't had a chance to play with your kiddos at Donnelly, you are in for a treat! What a nice park. We were just wishing for a fence, but it wasn't a problem at all. The playdate this morning was a ton of fun, and the kids seemed to revel in the outside time, the fresh air, the sunshine, and other kiddos to play with. They were so fun to watch, giggling and running and running around like crazy. I don't know about anyone else, but I have missed that vision while spending winter cooped up in the house! So, let's plan for another playdate, I am thinking March 29th, on our next non-MOPS Monday. Don't forget, though, that we also have a Mom's Night Out that night at Chili's!

MOPS meeting, March 8

Anyone else think the food was amazing?? Of course, that wasn't the highlight of the meeting, but wowee, the ladies pulled out all the stops with some awesome food! Whoever made the strawberry bundt cake, we need to talk...or you can just give me your recipe!! It was all delish (yummy fruit salad!!) and a great variety, too.

I loved how comfortable this meeting was. Spring was definitely in the air if the chipper smiles and lighthearted banter was any indication. Forget the 2-3 inches of snow we just had, right????

The eye pillows were a nice, relaxing activity and reminded me WHY I didn't become a seamstress. My stitches were not very pretty, but functional! I still haven't used it, though - never laying down long enough to put it on my eyes! The boys are enjoying throwing it up in the air like a bean bag, though. Now THAT will test your stitching.

Thanks to all our lovely ladies for their great questions and amazing answers. What a mommy resource we have in just our little group. I thought the question/ answer session was very informative, yet still lighthearted and fun. Nicely done!

STEERING TEAM POSITIONS! Seriously, I am soooo excited about next year and I can't wait to see who God is leading to help us fill our Steering Team slots. Be sure to ask any questions you have. Sure, Steering Team is work. But, it is also a lot of fun with a great group, serving an amazing group of ladies. What a blessing!!!!!
